Hello, we are representatives of iCE FiT HOCKEY. Throughout our careers we have been very fortunate to be exposed to some of the best coaches, players and training systems offered to players today. We are extremely passionate about coaching and the development of young players.

Our goal is for every iCE FiT athlete to gain a step on the competition from one year to the next due to fun, efficient training and skill development.

iCE FiT HOCKEY was established in Ottawa, Ontario by former Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL) and Ottawa Senators (NHL) strength and conditioning coach Mark Slater. Become an explosive skater, develop strength on the puck, drive to the net like a pro, and dominate your opponent with superior conditioning.

Chris Slater is currently the Head Coach for the Detroit Falcons AAA U18 team. The Falcons are members of the North American Prospects Hockey League and skate out of Viking Arena, in Hazel Park Michigan. Coach Slater recently spent two seasons coaching Junior A hockey and two seasons as the head coach of the Western Michigan University "Stallions" a Division 1 member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association. Slater guided the 2008-9 "Stallions" to their first National Tournament appearance in ten years. Specializing in Power Skating, Chris also serves as the Michigan Director for Robby Glantz Power Skating, INC.

A 2004 East Coast Hockey League Champion as a member of the Idaho Steelheads, Chris was selected to the ECHL all-star team in 2001 and attended the Detroit Red Wings training camp later that same year. During his 7 year professional career, “Slats” also had stops in the American Hockey League, British Super League and English Elite League. A competitive college defenseman at Michigan State University, the two time United States Olympic Festival participant was voted to the CCHA all-tournament team in 1995.

Akil Adams is originally from Detroit, MI and is the Assistant coach of the Detroit Falcons U18 and Head Coach of the Falcons U16 team. Akil was the former Head Coach at University Liggett School in Grosse Pointe Michigan (2002-2004), becoming the first African American High School hockey coach in the state of Michigan. In 2008-2009 Coach Akil led the Belle Tire Bantam Major team to a State Championship, becoming the first African American AAA head coach to win a state championship in Michigan history.

Akil played in the USHL with the Dubuque Fighting Saints, where he was a USHL All-Star and 2nd team All-League. He later receieved a full athletic scholarship to the University of North Dakota. After two seasons with the Fighting Sioux, Akil joined the Windsor Spitfires in the OHL before being traded to the Ottawa 67's. In 1995 Akil signed an AHL contract with the Florida Panther affiliate the Carolina Monarchs where he led all defense on his team in plus/minus. During his 5 year professional career Akil had stops in Div.1 in Germany, the IHL with the Kalamazoo K Wings and the Western Professional Hockey League.

Chad Dameworth is the current Eastern Michigan sales representative for Harrow Sports (www.harrowsports.com). Chad spent the 2009-10 season as a scout for The NHL affiliated Kalamazoo Wings, a member of the East Coast Hockey League and is currently scouting for the Port Huron Fighting Falcons of the Junior A NAHL.

Dameworth is a Marquette, Michigan native who later went on to become a competitive college defenseman at Northern Michigan University . A 6^th round draft pick for the Edmonton Oilers, Chad was selected to the UHL all-star team in 2005 and attended 4 NHL training camps throughout his his 11 year professional career. During that time, Dameworth had stops in the American Hockey League, International Hockey League, East Coast Hockey League and the United Hockey League.
